Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I’m blessed to be afforded the opportunity to share one of the ministry events that has occurred during this very difficult time commonly referred to as the “pandemic.” Amid many apprehensive and challenging circumstances, God is still very much in total control.
Beginning this past December our beloved pastor, Dr. Bennie T. Henson Sr, shared contact information concerning the availability of food boxes that would be distributed at Trinity Baptist Church in Columbus. Upon contacting Sister Jakethia Bush at Trinity, the H.M.B.C. Men’s Fellowship is grateful to God to have been afforded two dates in December in which food could be picked up at Trinity and distributed to members of the community.
H.M.B.C. Men’s Fellowship thus far has participated in this much needed evangelistic endeavor three times. Most recently on February 28, 2021. Without reservation I ‘m pleased to mention that it has been a powerful blessing for our church body, and the community we’ve been fortunate to serve, but more importantly, the body of Christ.
As a result of the need for food during these trying circumstances there will be an opportunity for our church to participate 2 times each month (2nd and the 4th Sunday). We encourage whoever may be interested in assisting with the distribution of boxes please contact me at your earliest convenience, or if you desire to receive a box of food please contact one of the deacons from HM.B.C. and we would be more than glad to assist you. Please continue to pray without ceasing and know that He remains in the blessing business, all day and every day. God Bless You.
Respectfully submitted, Rev. Tony D. Cornett Sr.
Director, M.E.T. H.M.B.C.
